Spring 2018 Season Starts w/o April 2

After 2 weeks of skills clinic followed by the FCPS Spring Break, the McLean Youth Volleyball Spring 2018 season kicks off with House practices during the week of April 2.  After only one practice teams will have their first league match on Saturday, April 7.

The full match schedule will be available on the website by March 19.

Congratulations Boys Champions

The fall 2017 MS & ES NoVA Boys Volleyball season was a resounding success with over 160 boys across 17 teams and 25+ volunteer coaches representing  Arlington , Braddock Road (BRYC), Chantilly, and McLean-Vienna (MV)Power.  Everyone deserves congratulations, especially the teams listed below. 

ES League

  • 1st Place: Arlington ES (Campbell)
  • 2nd Place: MVPower ES3 Grey (Racic)
  • 3rd Place: BRYC ES (McLaughlin)

MS League – Gold Bracket (top 6 teams)

  • 1st Place: BRYC MS-Blue (Samuel)
  • 2nd Place: Arlington MS1 (Debok)
  • 3rd Place: MVPower MS3 Black (Dimatulac)

MS League – Silver Bracket (rest of teams)

  • 1st Place: MVPower MS2 Grey (Weigert)
  • 2nd Place: Chantilly MS1 (Jadryev)
  • 3rd Place: MVPower MS4 Green (Miller)

The next season for NoVA Boys Volleyball is fall 2018.  See you there!

Record Breaking Used Sports Equipment Collection Drive

Way to go MYV/MYA Families!!

On Saturday, April 22, McLean Youth Volleyball (MYV) partnered with the non-profit Leveling the Playing Field to collect used ("slightly loved") sports equipment to donate to disadvantaged youth athletes in Baltimore and Washington DC.

Turnout was phenomenal.  It took 6 minivans loads (no middle seats) to collect the equipment from both Cooper MS and McLean HS.  In fact, Leveling the Playing Field informed us that it was their largest collection EVER!!
